Merge Duplicate Links
Paste two lists and the tool joins them in order, keeping the first occurrence of each URL. Ideal when you are consolidating crawl exports, sitemap output or client-supplied lists.
Step by step
- Paste the first list into List A, one URL per line.
- Paste the second list into List B.
- Click Merge.
- Check the counters for total lines, unique URLs and duplicates, then copy the merged list.
Tips for better results
- Order matters because the first occurrence is kept, so start with the list you trust most.
- Matching is exact, so normalise casing and trailing slashes before merging if your sources format URLs differently.
- To merge more than two lists, merge A and B, then paste the result as List A alongside the third list.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the Duplicate URL Finder?
The finder deduplicates a single list. This tool joins two sources at once, which saves a copy-and-paste step when consolidating exports.
Does the merge preserve the original order?
Yes. URLs appear in the order they were first seen, with later duplicates removed.
Can I merge large lists?
Tens of thousands of lines are usually fine in a modern browser. For very large inputs, split them into smaller batches with the Split Text File tool.
