Extract URL Links
Paste prose, an email, a chat log or raw HTML and the extractor finds every http and https URL, removes duplicates and strips trailing punctuation that would otherwise break the link.
Step by step
- Paste any text, HTML or mixed content.
- Click Extract URLs.
- Review the unique list and the URL count.
- Copy the URLs into a checker, crawler or spreadsheet.
Tips for better results
- Ideal for scraped HTML when you only need destinations rather than anchor text.
- Protocol-relative links such as //example.com are not matched because they have no scheme, so check those manually.
- Feed the result into the Alive URL Checker to confirm the links still work, or the Duplicate URL Finder to normalise them.
Frequently asked questions
Does it find URLs without http or https?
No. Only full URLs with a scheme are matched, which prevents it from picking up file names and domain-like words in prose.
Will it catch URLs inside HTML attributes?
Yes. It scans the raw text, so href, src and plain-text URLs are all matched.
Are duplicates removed automatically?
Yes. The output is a unique list in the order the URLs first appear.
